28th Stuttgart Advanced Course for Rhinoplasty with Live Surgical Demonstration
It`s a great honour and pleasure for me to invite you to our unique “rhino-week” in Stuttgart in April 2020. On the 21st in the morning we will have a dissection course at the modern anatomic institute of Tübingen. There we will perform a classical open rhinoplasty on perfectly prepared specimen.
Later in the afternoon we will start the scientific program of the 28th international Stuttgart rhinoplasty course. The scientific will proceed in the afternoons of the following two days. There we will deal with the newest developments in rhinoplasty as well as well-known and established techniques. A special focus we will lay on dorsum correction and the indications and limits of dorsal preservation. On Thursday we will talk about secondary rhinoplasty. That will also be the transition to the nasal reconstruction course that will start on Friday.
On Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday the 23rd we will perform 10 live primary and secondary rhinoplasties. That will also include dorsal preservation manouvers in selected cases.
Once again a national and international faculty will share its huge experience of the field of rhinoplasty. It is a great honour that Frederick Menick joins our nasal reconstruction meeting that directly follows the rhinoplasty course.
For the first time we will perform live surgeries of nasal reconstruction during the reconstruction meeting. And on Saturday we will cover the exiting field of nasal reconstruction with instructive lectures and lively discussions.
So we will celebrate an exciting, unique and extraordinary Rhino-festival in April 2020.
We invite you to join our fascination of that field and to participate at our courses.
See you in Stuttgart,
Dr. med. Sebastian Haack
3rd Stuttgart Symposium on Nasal Reconstruction
with Live Surgery
Our first and second symposium on nasal reconstruction in March 2015 and April 2017 had been very successful, instructive, and encouraging events and we were often asked for a continuation. We decided to combine a third symposium on nasal reconstruction in 2020 with our 28th Stuttgart Advanced Course for Rhinoplasty. For the first time we offer 2 days of nasal reconstruction beginning with one day live surgery reconstruction procedures Friday, April 24th, transmitted also from 2 theaters, immediately after the 2 Rhinoplasty live surgery days.
Nose reconstruction is our most challenging field of Facial Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. The development of techniques is permanently going on. Thus updating on proofed procedures is one of our objectives for a new symposium.
The main topics will be the concepts concerning partial and total three layer defects of the nose, which means reconstruction of lining, framework and cover. Again we also want to give the participants the chance to present cases and discuss solutions altogether. The way for submission you will soon find on the website. For the preliminary programm we are happy to announce Frederick Menick from Tucson, Arizona and his outstanding teaching in our faculty again. His major contributions always inspired us to solve difficult surgical problems and pass current limitations. He will present his experience of 50 consecutive cases of radial forearm flaps for lining. His outstanding two volume book on „Aesthetic Nasal Reconstruction“ will be available at the symposium again.
Joachim Quetz from Kiel, Germany, is also highly specialised in complex nose reconstruction and will present his preferred techniques – also available in his many publications. Jong-Woo Choi from Korea again will contribute Asian aspects of nasal reconstruction.
Welcome again to Stuttgart, no matter if you just want to take part in the symposium on nasal reconstruction or also take the chance to learn more about rhinoplasty in the preceding live surgery course. One field inspires the other and we look forward to share that with you.
